wow.. nice.. I've never used a Pantech before not sure how they are vs moto, nokia and sony ericsson

All I've used was the pantech C15b or something like that (the smallest flip offered by AT&T), and it was actually pleasant - coming from a Sony Ericsson. Things were easy to do, and navigation wasn't hard. Simple and to the point.

I might seriously get this phone, but what does AT&T limit on it vs unbranded?

I'm a long time Nokia user and just recently got a Pantech C150 for my wife. It's not a bad phone. Just some of the menu's and UI changes weren't quite as refined (or maybe it's just because i'm used to Nokia). Also, you can tell they cut corners with some of the electronics in it as the menu system can be kinda of slow at times. Plus, the speaker phone on it kind of sucks. Overall though, coming from Nokia, not a bad experience at all, reception was much better than I expected! They have a very promising future in the US if they can clean up a few minor things.

The C150 was also geared as an entry level phone, so that may explain some of the shortcomings.

The 810 runs Windows Mobile 6 Standard (no touchscreen), so at least you know what you're getting as far as the OS.

I noticed they updated the page at Amazon and added a "2-4 week shipping" note

I really could not wait for this phone. But the earlier poster scared me when he talked about the really weak speakerphone on the Pantach phones. I had read that people who own the Ocean also complain about the weak speakerphone. This may be a deal breaker for me and I might have to go with a HTC

"Minimum rated talk time: 150 minutes"... that's 2.5 hours. If that's an accurate figure.. I'd hate this phone more than my A900. Has anyone been able to confirm actual talk time on this device? I'd like my next phone to last me through lunch if I'm browsing on EVDO or 3G (depending on if I switch carriers).

i never had a problem with the earpiece on my pantech, but the speakerphone was off the earpiece and it is weak on my pantech, so it was a bit of a pain when driving, if I used the speakerphone. I think using a bt headset may have been ok on my pantech, but i dont have one

Supposedly Pantech is one of the top 5 phone makers in Korea or Thailand or whereever. Most people that know of them, speak well of them.
