I've tried following the instructions, but to me they aren't that clear. How do you assign 16000 hz? How do you highlight the left channel and make it mono while deleting the right channel?
And then after trying to do all of that, I still can't seem to assign the mp3 files into ringtones. It won't even give me an option to do so. I tried setting the files into 'my sounds' 'ringtones' and 'my music' and none of the folders allowed me to set the mp3 files into ringtones.
What am I doing wrong?

Not sure what program exactly that you are using bball but if you are having that much trouble hon, why don't you just go to the top of the forums page for LG and where there is a sticky for ringtones just go in there and search for what you want or make a request. Then all you have to do is click on a link that will be provided, save to your computer and then just email it to yourself.
That would be whatever your phone # is including the area code @vzwpix.com it will go to your text in box and then you can save it to ringtone or sound.
Good luck with that.

I found that the instructions were too unclear, so I need extra help. I don't want to keep doing a trial and error and incur charges for sending these emails to my phone.
I'll read into the requests.

Ok I realize now that you were reading the instructions for audacity, I have that program and lemme tell you I am still in the dark with that as well.
I use FlexiMusic wave editor which allows me to drop a song in, cut it to any length I desire, fade in or out, piece together yadda yadda..it also has very clear help files. I picked it up as a free demo but then when I realized how user friendly it was I bought it for $20.00. http://www.fleximusic.com/waveditor/overview.htm
Also instead of emailing your tones, of which recently I have heard that some have been having trouble with as well, if you have a cable and drivers disk (drivers can be gotten on line if you do not have the disk) but with those you can use bitpim (free download) to transfer the ringers to your phone. I have unlimited text and an extra 500 for outside my calling plan , so my apologies for not thinking that not everyone has this.

I don't have the cable. Is it worth buying for possibility one ringtone? lol

ONE RINGTONE?? Are you freakin kiddin me??? Wahahahhahahahahaha no one stops at just ONE ringtone, they are like potato chips, no one eats just one! lol
Hee hee all kidding aside hon, if it is just for one ringtone errrr well even buying one off ebay which I think I was reading that people were buying for like six bucks..that would probably depend on how much you wanted that ringtone.
Also though, if there is one certain ringtone you want, just say so...I will be happy to try and find it for you or make it for you, then all you have to do is right click the link then when the page comes up there will be a link that says "donwload" you click that and it will give you the option of opening or saving the link, click on save and what I usually do is save to desk top so I can find it quickly. Then go to say yahoo mail (I seem to have the best luck there) and then send it to your phone . GO to mail click attatch link, browse to your desktop, click on link to add then email it to your phone number example: xxx-xxx-xxxx@vzwpix.com the x's of course being your area code and phone number. Now one more thing I don't know if this has been mentioned but I do believe you have to have a camera phone for these to reach you (tunes come in the form of a pix message). Someone correct me if I am wrong but I have never had not luck sending to anyone without a camera phone.
Good luck.
