I don't think this technically qualifies as a manufacturer rant since I'm really calling out an online retailer, and I swear I don't mean to pimp my own blog, but I just couldn't resist sharing with you all the mind-boggling experience I had with a company called Bluetooth Imports today.

The gist of it (so that you don't have to visit my blog if you don't want) is that although their site tells us they offer "the lowest prices possible" (their words), the truth is they're badly overpriced on most - if not all - of the items they sell. When I asked them why they claim "lowest prices" and yet are amongst the most expensive, they answered thusly:

"We are online stores trying to make money please get over it and choose the cheapest."

Essentially, they agreed with me that they are amongst the most expensive retailers around for Bluetooth equipment. They must agree, since they provided a reason for it, rather than refuting it at all.

I had a different experience with these guys....I ordered a cell phone and paid for UPS 2 Day delivery - the phone has not shown up after OVER 7 days. I've called them - left at least 5 messages, emailed them - at least 6 times, and have used their IM "customer service" feature. At one point these guys actually logged off once I gave them my order number.

I have NEVER experienced such bad customer service - I've been engaged in e-commerce for at least 10 years and have never been treated so poorly. I am recommending that nobody use this service. As the previous member posted - they fall extremely short of their promises - we provide "excellent customer service". As a consumer I am asking for the product that I paid for - to be delivered in the method and time that I paid for.

I have filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and plan on informing as many people about my experience - nobody should have to go through this, especially when it deals with a critical communication tool such as a cell phone.
