Ok,

What is up with this; as I must have had my head in the sand on this issue.

I get a text message asking for someones number; while driving of course.
I start thinking, well that should be easy! Wrong!!! I't can't be done from everything I have tried.

I have tried opening the contact; options are send message (to that contact only) or e-mail, or call of course.

Tried it from sms menu, can't search for contact there, just pops up the keyboard.

Is this like the biggest shortcomming next to the cut and paste or what?

Am I missing the obvious here? Please tell me I can send a phone # to someone without... Looking up number, writing it down (or memorize it), then start a new text message... Hmm about 4 steps, and very dangerous while driving..

What gives here?

A shortcoming? Because you couldn't send someone a phone number from your contacts list? While driving, nonetheless?

I've never seen a phone with a 'feature' that allowed you to directly send any contact information via SMS to another person.

Even if you could do it, doing it while driving is IDIOTIC. Trying it makes you a FARKING IDIOT. Yes. I called you a FARKING IDIOT.

This is an amazing design choice. Sending a business card/vcard to people is pretty common. I guess that is one way to make the menus easier to use...eliminate small but handy features. :G

Before they release the phone in Asia, they had better add it. People here change their prepaid SIM cards 2 or 3 times each year MINIMUM. You are constantly sending and receiving new numbers for contacts.

I have never seen a phone that did not have this option! Every Nokia or SE has an option for each contact to send the info to other phones, usually with choices of SMS, MMS, or Bluetooth. I am talking about from Nokia 1100 to N95, from T68 to P1. Borrow someone's phone and take a look.

As I said in a previous post, this isn't particularly useful in the US where you all keep the same SIM for years. In other countries, forwarding contact information is something you do once or twice each week because new prepaid SIMs are purchased frequently (changing numbers is how Thais, Filipinos, etc., deal with prank calls, angry callers or dumping their bf/gf)..

ive said it once and ill say it again - there should be an age restriction on who can/cannot post - theres no need to name call - its just juvenile - and, believe it or not, some of us have attention spans larger than that of monkeys - some of us actually can multi-task while barely looking at our phones...

You're talking driving, not pouring milk and getting a little on the counter. Someone could be hurt, children, someone's mother. You ARE a farking idiot. The touchscreen nature of the phone means you HAVE to take your eyes off the road you are driving on to click on things, it can't be done by feeling buttons. That's not multi-tasking you buffoon, that's taking your eyes off one task and putting your attention on another.

I had to check to see if my old SE W810i can send contacts. It can. I've never actually used that before but I can see how it would be handy.

Yet another thing Apple missed.

you should look up the definition of multi-tasking before calling someone a buffoon - it just makes you look unintelligent - very unintelligent

and i just pray that youre not someone who ill run into on the road - its scary knowing people like you who cant do more than one thing at a time are actually given licenses - i guess it explains why there are so many accidents - feeble minds...

EDIT - lol - i just realized your idea of multi-tasking is pouring milk and texting on your iphone at the same time - classic!

I am not going to defend myself here. But I was at a long stoplight. Safely looking at my SMS.

Kiss my a$$

Frinkin retards; always gotta find a loophole to strike.

Like some snakes. Hope you at least saw the question of the post.

Let me go back to my M3 with my son and my zero accidents and Bluetooth handsfree.

Thanks for the slam. Enjoy the return nimble minded one.
