Dash to s620 rom

Two things I wanted to know.

firstly... I know that I can flash my Dash to the windows mobile 5 s620 rom with no problem. and I also know that HTC recently made public a windows mobile 6 upgrade for the s620. so first I wanted to know if I could flash my dash to the s620 5.0 rom and then to the 6.0 upgrade (probably a stupid question since I am assuming I can off the bat)

secondly... Other than a slight rom change, are there any performance differences on a dash once the s620 rom is implemented and all the t-mobile apps and settings are removed? That would be my only reason to change ROMs since I am a t-mobile customer for the time being and plan on staying one for a little while.

please, anyone who could help, let me know. thank you.

I went straight from the T-Mobile WM6 rom to the HTC WM6 rom yesterday (my phone is App, CID, and SIM unlocked). The HTC ROM does not have the memory leak that the T-Mobile one does. The phone seems faster to me as well, and I always have more RAM available. I did have to do some playing around with the key mapping because the phone was acting funny with UK symbols instead of US English symbols, but I solved that by editing a file.

I went to the site and signed up as a club member. I put in my information to include the S/N but there is nothing that allows me to download the new ROM. Any advice, guidance on how I can obtain the new ROM would be greatly apprieciated. I just bought a used DASH. It is locked in to T-Mobile. I plan to Sim, CCID and App unlock the phone this weekend and would love to be able to start fresh and new with the new ROM. Thanks in advance for any assistance wit this issue.

Thanks for the info. I thought someone would have it available. Any problems? Do you feel that it is slower? One post stated that he had to remap the keys because the default was sent to the UK keypad.

I find it to be faster, with more ram available. However, office is NOT included in the rom. Instead the clearvue programs that wm5 has are included. Office can be downloaded seperately by looking around the xda forums, though.

i am happy with the upgrade... wish it was around 6-8 months ago, when i got my dash.. but no worrys.. that is a plus about office being available to download..well worth the download. only took me like 10 minutes to download
