i have been using the email method to get my ringtons to my phone for years now, and now, since last week, i get this message in my email every time i try to send on to my phone

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
<xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com>:
66.174.95.12 failed after I sent the message.
Remote host said: 550 SMTP connection refused

is anyone else having this problem, or know what is going on?

Well if i send the tone to my phone like 10 times in a row from both emails i can usually get one of them to go through. Was able to get 2 tones to my phone last nigh.

It sounds like Verizon is finally figuring out that some people are getting around having to pay for their ringtones. When I was with the Evil Empire I hacked my phone so that I could upload custom ringtones. That would probably be your best bet to continue getting free ringtones.

I am having the same problem now. Mail cannot be delivered. Yet a text or picture message works fine.

Hmmm not sure what is going on but I very seldom have any trouble so far sending ringtones with yahoo to my phone, just sent one last night as a matter of fact and it went through. Also have sent with my Outlook Express, now that one is usually iffy bit every now and again it surprises me and makes it to my inbox.
Ya know though, I have noticed that it has been taking longer than it used to coming from yahoo...wonder if my ringtone gravy train is getting ready to come to a screeching halt??? Thank goodness there is still bitpim. lol

Does anyone know if there's been any improvement or any news regarding this?
