Help with v710 Flashing

Hey everyone, I have a telus mobility v710 that NEEDS a firmware flash. Some of the menu items are not accessible at all a well as the camera is not usable. When I go and flash the phone with the same original firmware it seems to clear the mem and re flash it but when the phone reboots nothing has changed. I read that a master reset might help but I can't get into that menu.
