Hey guys.......i just got this phone......is the battery life not very good on this phone or what?

I haven't had any particular issue so far, but I believe the battery is not going to last quite as long as it did in my Krzr.

Something that might help is to manually select 850/1900 in your network settings instead of Automatic. This keeps the phone from trying to latch onto weak UMTS broadcasts when it should just stay on a high strength GSM band.

Well another thing is you JUST got the phone, right? No phone has good battery life right out of the box, it will take several full charges (charge it up full, drain the battery until it's completely dead, like "shutting itself off" dead) and then charge it up full again. In fact, when you first got it you should have left it charging overnight (at least 12 hours) but you can still do that now. (and yes, it does automatically stop charging, but the 12 hour recharge does help, as it keeps topping up the battery during the night) after you have completely draing and completely charged the phone several times the battery life will be MUCH better. My v3t, for example, I think lasted 8 hours the first day, but now from all the draining/charging it lasts up to 3 - 4 days (which is what my last two phones lasted for)

anyway, the network settings (I am giving you directions from the V3t, so pardon me if I get something a little off, but it should be similar if not the same) are located here:

Go to Menu -> Go to Settings (looks like a screwdriver and Wrench) -> scroll down to Network (it will have a picture of a cel phone tower beside it) and there you go!
