help installing MPT

Hey guys. I have tried this 100 times with no luck. I install MPT for my ic902. when it comes time to find the phone I put in v323
it then goes to connect and says it cant find motorola connection input or something like that. It asks me to put in the disc and help it find driver so I just let it auto look but it can't find it. so the MPT opens and it just says no phone connected and please wait initializing and it never connects. What is up? Can someone help me out by either a step by step direction or just the how to. Thanks
