Is this easy to make? I do flash animations can do basic action script; is Flash8 all I need to do this? If it is, I would gladly take requests to make flashwallpapers…
Helps me practice!

Very Kewl!
HAHA The Aircon one is pretty funny, those who have lived in Japan and used the aircons here will get a kick outta that one.

Thanks for posting!

Posted by: KBoardBox

There was a tutorial on here a while back. Do a search for Flash wallpapers in this Sharp forum and you should still find it.

Posted by: koh-kun

>>KBoardBox
Oh yeah? Thanks for that! I'm gonna try to make one tomorrow~ byaaa

Posted by: KBoardBox

Too bad we can't get rid of the display on the top and get full-screen flash wallpapers. Oh well!

Posted by: lamplighter

Are you saying that these actually keep time and teperature, in addition to looking good ???
I guess these are .swf files ? They dont work with my 770

Posted by: KayJai

I don't think the temp works,...
That one only shows time and date, etc,..

hey koh-kun, by any chance can you edit this swf file?
http://rapidshare.com/files/55051270/kuruma.swf.html
like the signal meter bar go through the other dials, similar to the reception bar from the phone and also a working battery meter?

Posted by: KBoardBox

You have to put them in the "Other Documents" folder and select them there.

I tried them on a 770sh, can't read them oh well. Guess its only good for the 903sh. I also thought the temp is variable but I don't think there's thermometer in the phone and it can receive info from network. The temp is actually the value you set on the a/c that has an lcd, anybody in south east asia should recognize it

Posted by: koh-kun

>>aw614
sorry, I can't edit things in a swf unless I were to perfectly replicate it myself from scratch - at least to my knowledge.

No problem - I was only teasing
I only said it because I remember a thread somewhere that said "oh scalz" about 4 times for no real reason.

Posted by: ame-otoko

Those are great, thanx!

But is there a way to have them full screen size on a 902SH (euro F/W), too?
Working fine on a 703SH though!

Posted by: electric

Can't download, anyone kind enough to email me the files?

Posted by: martindesu

PM me your email.

I want a 904T in exchange

Just kidding. PM me.

Posted by: electric

Hi Martin, I received your file . Thanks

Posted by: martindesu

You're welcome.

Hey guys, found somemore flash stuff on the net.

This is a flashlite screensaver clock. The tower is the minute hand, the Sun/Moon is the hour hand while the man is the seconds. If it is in daytime, the Sun will be shown while if it is in night time, the moon will be shown. On every Friday, there is a speech box showing the message ‘TGIF’ whenever the seconds reach 60. Well, it is implemented for the sake of fun.

http://www.geocities.com/electric_v.../earthclock.swf

Posted by: electric

This is a clock application flash wallpaper and it's easy to use. The little strolling robo serves as a capacitor, the Apollo as the Minute hand and the Sun/Moon as the Hour. When the Apollo has taken off and the robo is doing a bit of dance, it is indicating that the time has reached a new hour. Fret not about the Apollo, a new Apollo will arrive before you can even finished saying ‘Sgt Pepper'. The enviroment of the application will change to night or day depending on the time. A rainbow will appear on everyone’s favorite weekday, Friday!

One more flash wallpaper to share.

Inspired by the floral design in the Japan culture, this screensaver animates a series of floral pattern on a random basis.

Posted by: koh-kun

hey sorry to bring up an old topic again…

I was working on a wallpaper (Gloomy-themed!) but I noticed that my images got all jaggedy so I was wondering if anyone knew the perfect resolution and dimensions of the 903 screen…

Thanks in advance!

Posted by: aw614

its qvga 320x240

Posted by: koh-kun

hmm, it still ends up all jaggedy. ah well, i'll keep at it i guess…

thanks aw614!

Posted by: aw614

hmm does it have anything to do with the speed of the swf?

Posted by: takumi906

Posted by: takumi906

Posted by: KBoardBox

Here's a cool site I just stumbled upon, may be a repost, but you can access the full SWF file by viewing the code for each preview page and copying out the SWF link and adding "flam.jp" before it, so like this:

http://flam.jp/card/flam/swf/VFC/VFCmac060157IF.swf

Posted by: johnmoon

tried them on my 904sh... man it looks nice!

Posted by: KBoardBox

Nope. The link doesn't link directly to the SWF file.

Posted by: riel

Oh I thought it does, coz once you click the link the flash plays.. so how do you get it on the phone? I don't get the procedure you were saying on page 3 =P

Two other ones I took. The other ones are kinda bleh to me.

New and Improved Guide to Yoinking Flash Wallpapers™
1. Pick one you want to grab and right-click on the orange button below it and copy the target/link URL. Firefox and IE7 users can just middle-click on the link to open it in a new tab.

2. You should end up here:

3. View the source code and look for this line and the highlighted bit:

4. Copy the highlighted bit from above and add "http://flam.jp/" before it and voila! your SWF file. Just do File >> Save As now and you'll have it.

Thanks for the info. Are there other sites that allow to copy source?

Posted by: KBoardBox

I don't know of any other sites yet. For that matter, has anybody found WVGA Flash wallpapers? Normal QVGA ones look real bad on my 920...haha

Posted by: cta16

Is there a file size limit to the 920sh's wallpapers like on the 903sh?

Posted by: KBoardBox

Haven't encountered a size limit yet. What was the one on the 903?

Here's another site:
http://nsflash.com/

Posted by: cta16

Its 100kb on the 903 which really sucks. Can't do much with 100kb.

Posted by: cta16

Another flash wallpaper I've created ion collaboration with an artist called Silveryn. Its the bottom one in the picture above. It changes to match the time of day.

Link It's the link on the bottom right called 'Day'. Let me know what you guys think.

So far this is the best swf wallpaper I`ve seen on my 903 screen
Many thanks for this one, remembers me a bit Mitsubishi menu design with day/night phases Really impressive work.
I will be waiting for your next wallpaper

Posted by: cta16

Thanks =) I wasn't the artist though. I just did the technical work for this wallpaper. Silveryn did all the art.

Umm..anyone know how to download/save the flash wallpapers from this site?
There are lots of nice ones on here..

Posted by: KBoardBox

Same method as the flam.jp site. You have to dig for the Flash file's URL in the HTML source.

Posted by: cta16

I highly doubt that the previews on the site would work properly on your phone. Those previews are made in flash which your phone can't read. Mobile phones are equipped with Flash Lite. If the flash works at all, then I doubt the any of the dynamic text(such as the clock and day of the week) would work.

uhh for nsflash.com I don't think i'm able to do that..
I've already tried doing it with some of the flam.jp site's flash wallpaper, etc. and it worked fine for me, but for the ones at nsflash.com I can't seem to find any link, etc. to the html source..
Any help with this at all? would really appreciate it =]

Posted by: IonNuke

In regards to digging a site's HTML source for a media file. You can easily do that with FireFox by going to the Tools menu and select "Page Info".

There another window will pop up and you can click on the "MEDIA" tab and it will show you every form of media either physically visible or embedded to the site. Select the item you want, click Save As. and you shall be able to extract it from the site with out much effort in digging through the HTML source.

I've been using them for over a week lol...trust me, they work.

Doesn`t matter anyway, I use "change of day" now It`s great

Actually we're both right. The ones on flam.jp are made in flash lite. If you look at the previews for them, you will see that the ones with clocks and days of the week and battery level don't work properly on your PC. But flash lite is built for mobile phones, and thats why it will work on your phone.

For nsflash.com, that site uploads flash files, not flash lite. Thats why any of the ones with clocks and and days of the week and other stuff will work on your computer(showing the proper time) but they won't work with your phone because they are no flash lite.

I've tried both on my 903 and every one that I've tried from flam.jp works but the ones on nsflash.com don't work. Hope this clears things up.

KBoardBox, does the ones on nsflash work for you? And which one are you using to test this? The 903 or 920? If you're using the 920 and the ones on nsflash.com work, then I think the flash lite version on the 920 is causing this difference.

I liked seasons too but I couldn't wait 3 months for the wallpaper to change.

Posted by: KBoardBox

The ones on nsflash work fine on my 920, date and all.

Posted by: cta16

Do you have a spare sim lying around? Can you try nsflash stuff on your 903? I expected the 920 to have a different flash version than the 903 since Flash lite 1.1 on the 903 is really outdated but I didn't expect this kind of difference.

Posted by: KBoardBox

Sure, I'll try the nsflash stuff on my 903.

Posted by: murdoc2k

Wow nice Flash wallpapers guys! Keep it coming!

A problem I have is I can't fit them properly on my P905i's screen. The wall paper doesn't stretch to fit my screen =/ Any ideas on that?

Posted by: lamplighter

I have found a couple of sites with some amazing flash wallpapers but can not figure out how to download any.
I am assuming they are members only password sites or only available via QR Code download but maybe there is a way to crack the code

www.garaku.tv
www.biznot.biz/k/

Cheers,LL-
