is this possible? say i want to use my iphone on my cou during work hours, but when im off, i want to swap my personal sim in so the phone is my personal line.

is this possible or is there extra steps since its an iphone? i know you can do it on a normal gsm phone, but does the iphone allow this?

Not without hacking, and I've been repeatedly told they watch discounted (FAN and ERP) lines for iphone imei's.

really? so i cant swap sims with no issues?

iphone only works with the sim it was activated with, unless you want to hack it. Even if hacked, AT&T still can tell what IMEI you make calls with and I'm told (could very well be BS) they'll be proactive about people exploiting loopholes.

well if i activate it with the sim that i am currently using on my blackberry does that mean i can use it on the iphone and the blackberry?

Yeah you can easily use iBrickr to load an app called lockdown or something to that effect, and once that's loaded you're never prompted to activate through itunes again.

I have not done this on my ANR line, but I can do it.

im not sure if im making sense. can i do this? i have my COU line on a blackberry. if i take that sim, put it into my iphone and then activate following the COU line instructions for iphone, can that sim be used in both units allowing me to swap it in and out when i want to use each phone during certain times?

You can take an iphone sim and use it in any other phone fine.

When you activate your iphone it'll remove all your blackberry features and you won't be able to do anything other than call and text from the BB... your iphone also comes with a preloaded SIM and that will be the one you use. your old one will not work.

man thats a pain

Are you sure about that, I popped my COU SIM in my iPhone and everything worked fine after the activation.
