(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Just wondering what you guys think.. should I get an unlocked 8gig Iphone or should I just wait for the 8gig black N95 ??

n95! if money isnt an issue for you since it can do everthing the iphone can and more(except touchscreen stuff obviously), 5 mpx camera, MMS, more bluetooth profiles
and itll be here soon, mid september is the time frame going around, right?

n95 definately

dont get in the iPHONE hype like i did

The n95 unquestionably has the better features overall. But that's not to say it's the right phone for you.

I've been using the iPhone in Canada (on Rogers) for about a week now and I love it. However, I can live without mms, gps, and a 5MP camera (infact none of them add too much value for me). The iPhone does what is important to me exceptionally well (multimedia and web browsing).

N95 for funcionality for sure but if you have a large amount of purchased itunes music you wan't to take with you in a mobile phone that is as thin as a razr, a very powerfull web browser except for flash and still has a large possibility of app. updates then I wouldn't count out the Iphone. Either way you can't go wrong.

Do you want MMS, 5MP camera? Or do you want the better UI?

I'd take the iPhone(I did!), but its a personal call!

And don't forget the price cut of the iphone to $399 it kind of puts the N95 in a higher price catagory.

Go for the N95

If price is not an issue, N95 hands down. S.HIT load of more features than the Itoy.

Posted by: kingsford

You guys... Who cares about features you're not going to use. Look at what's important to you. 5mp, gps, mms... may all mean nothing to the this guy.

I'd get the N95. I was unimpressed with the iPhone. It also seems Apple is attempting to keep people from personalizing the phone with "hacks". Do you want customizability with tons of great features? Get the N95. Soon everybody will have an iPhone anyways. iRazr. Hm. Has a nice ring to it

Posted by: LIVEFRMNYC

I played with the Iphone at Apple store and I swear it only took me about 5min to discover every single feature it has. Iphone is just the Best UI on the block and a 8GB Ipod, but lacks damn near everything else.

Go for the N95. But if you would pay that much money you might as well get a TyTN II and throw in a 4GB Card.

The iphone it toke me 3 min to figure out how to use it... the n95 after 2 night in messing around with it i had to spend a night reading the manual to figure out how to use it fully..... but it was worth it.

even though the Iphone dose what it dose well, the n95 just dose everthing you can think off.... only if they made the n95 with a slideout keyboard...

The N95 has poor battery life. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Not mine. I charge it every few days. Bad battery life would mean charging it daily.

i'm on the fence liking the iphone now... it's mulitmedia is unmatched.. (except for the camera lol)

we'll see if the new n95 has a better UI... hard to say right now...

Posted by: sneakypure

well, iphone is doing well because alot of people get it and then do the same things they do on their phones that they got for free for resigning 2 years. (we all know the free phones are sweet).

imo if only talking on the phone and having music is important, then iphone is the way to go. If your interested in anything at all, or anything slightly more than those two features, get the n95 because the iphone will get old and let you down.

i don't need to go into too much n95 hype, there are already a million threads on it.

also if having a phone that not everyone has is important, than that makes the answer sooo much easier

I had a Razr when they were first released and everybody wanted to see it Sounds just like the iPhone.

Posted by: jontymisra

Yup, but I realized after never to buy a phone that would potentially make it to Canada. I bought it for good $600 US unlocked and 1 month later it was annouced to be carried by Rogers, God I felt so stupid.
I cant say how the Iphone users feel after the $200 price drop.

my N95 totally dominates my iPhone so the new N95-8GB thatz coming soon will definintly be my next phone and the iPhone can be a pretty UI back up....since its very limited and hardly supported by developers in the phone industry

I agree shaolin, media wise, untouched to a certain extent, screen is huge, but its more of a play phone, my n95 us 3g is my main cell no questions asked, ui on the 8gb isnt gonna match the iphone i doubt it. and being a media beast is in question with the iphone, no doubt the big screen for video is amazing, but it does fall short in many areas, next to n95, when u say media, i say n95 any version is more media capable, not just talking video and music playback. A2dp is huge for me,so is streaming and saving music using seeqpod, or symella, i can even play music when im on a call and have some one listen to song on the other end. No radio, gaming cant come close to n95, speakers on n95 much better. I have both phone so i can make a fair statement, can also download podcasts no need for itunes, list goes on and on. The iphone is fun though.

Nokia is garbage. Apple is.... GSM only..... meh... ok.

I am using an X01HT (tytn) and I gotta say that wifi is useless to me, MMS is useless, GPS is useless, 5mp camera is ok... but my camera-only-camera is far better, I'm sure. My phone works GREAT as a phone and with reception... that's all I need (and its gotta look sexy.. thats why I have a white one! haha)

Do you what you want. Whichever looks better to you!

I just can't use the iphone as my main phone no matter how amazing it is if it can't support these "basic" phone/pda functions which I have in my N95.

1. Automatic ringing profile change based on calendar/time. Can't go back to manual switching phone to silent and back.
2. Call filter - block/allow calls based on contacts and/or time schedule
3. in-phone call answering machine
4. cell location - automatic send sms/activate BT/alarm based on where the phone is in the cellular network
5. missed call/sms reminder
6. standalone e-book reader
7. full dictionary/translator

We can compare them.
Apple iPhone 8Gb
Nokia N95
