T-Mobile Proxy Settings WORKING 99%! Safar+Youtube

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: evenSong

I won't take credit for this, so I will link to the post:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/sho...38&postcount=11

See the first page for the complete settings.

I can confirm the following so far:
Google Maps: Yes
Weather: Yes
Stocks: Yes
Mail: Yes (but I had it working with just the APN)
Safari: YES

UPDATE:
AppTapp: YES
YouTube: YES (buggy, need to let it error out once, then click again)
MobileChat: No (does not connect)

Posted by: hard_core

Safari: No

???

Do you really consider that to be 99% complete?

Posted by: illution

exactly...
if it's weather or stock doesn't work then it's fine because you still can check weather or stock from safari...
but if safari broke you can't access other websites

Posted by: evenSong

Safari working, typing this on my phone.

Posted by: Grooby

I think the t-zone only opens up ports for web (through proxy) and email. Maybe that's why mobilechat won't work, because it is trying to connect to the chat system through their default port?

interesting. I'm going to give this a try when I get home. Anybody know if it works with the iFlickr app?

Posted by: mrtrance

So does this mean that if we have the current $5.99 Tmobile web plan we can use that same plan on a unlocked iphone to continue web browsing and emails like I do on my DASH? No need to get the $19.99 Total Internet package yet??

Posted by: XanderMac

I hope all you cheap thieving git's eventually get hit with huge backdated data charges! Buy the right plan you losers. Its people like you that cost us all more money! Unlimited Internet is now $20 on t-mobile for Christ sake! Suck it up, be responsible and get the right damn plan. Im sick and tired of these idiots spending hundreds on phones then screwing t-mobile cos mommy won't spring for the extra $20 a month! Grow up. Remember, Karma is a *****.

Posted by: evenSong

You using your iPhone on T-Mobile just cost AT&T a two year contract. I hope AT&T re-locks your phone and drags your *** back into their contract. I'm sick and tired of these idiots thinking they can go about unlocking any phone and use it on their carrier of choice.

Moral of the story, if it can be done, do it.

What is wrong with you...
if the $5.99 plan works why not?? I've been using the $5.99 plan for a long time in my Nokia S60 devices. I only (i repeat... ONLY) switched to the BB unlimited add on because I wanted to use Truphone and MSN Messenger on the go... otherwise, I would be still using the $5.99 plan
If someone not willing to spend as much money as you, don't get too upset please

Spending hundreds on gadgets is one thing but spending 15 more bucks PER MONTH for the same service is another

You need to calm down, dude. You've been all over everyone on multiple threads about this. We get it, you dont like it. No need to insult people. Thats just childish.

BTW, I dont see anything wrong with doing this as long as you don't abuse it. I dont think checking your email & surfing occasionally is gonna hurt anyone. Anyways, im sure T-Mobile could tell if you're using gobs of data & only on the $5.99 plan, then you will prob hear from them.

Posted by: aneftp

If you guys get caught and tmobile demands that you pay for the backdated charges, would you pay it? What if they automatically switch your data plan to the 19.99 plan, what would you do than? I know att changed a lot of peoples media works plan to media max.

Then switch to AT&T if the data plan is the same price

Posted by: shizzabrick

Tmob also gives you hotspot access with the internet... free! It's like what that Starbucks iTunes BS should have been

Posted by: aneftp

I'm with ATT. I think Tmobile's plans are the best bang for the buck...

However, (for me) Tmobile's reception is only so so (I know this because my brother has Tmobile and I've used his phones before).

I think Tmobile comparisons with ATT are not fair. ATT really competes with Verizon in terms of pricing.

Tmobile competes with Sprint. (in terms of minutes/packages)

That being said, Sprint a few months ago "fired" a few of their customers for abusing the system. These were unprofitable customers. I hope you guys who are taking advantage of Tmobile's 5.99 internet (with the iPhone) don't abuse it either or else you will find a nasty letter in the mail from Tmobile. Tmobile, although small in the United States, is a very large international corporation who afford to "fire" customers who are not making them money. Not to say that they would do that in the US, but they could.

I think it would be better to say that at&t sees Verizon as its only real competition. I think that's an incredibly arrogant and myopic view.

For months now, T-Mobile has been gradually making network changes to deny full internet access to those who have not paid for it. It seems to be something they're deploying location-by-location, and from reports in the T-Mobile forum, it seems once it's done it's successful.

There will always be people who try to beat the system. Its only human nature, no matter how disappointing you or I may find it. Lecturing them will not suddenly cause them to develop a conscience, so you might as well save your typing.

A thief is a thief, I just call it the way I see it and will continue to do so. If they don't like it and think I'm wrong they can im me their phone numbers and we can call t-mobile to see if its ok to continue doing this! But no, that would cost the an additional $14 for the right plan! Or $0.46 per day average! I really hope t-mobile bill for data useage for all the thieves then they'll wish they had sprung for 46c per day! Losers...

Posted by: hard_core

Am I the only one who finds this intense sympathy for tmob (or any carrier for that matter) to be a little odd? It's like feeling bad for a bank if you found a way to get out of paying ATM fees.

All the big carriers make a TON of profit (I think AT&T made $5billion last year), they don't really deserve our sympathy.

Posted by: XanderMac

its not sympathy, its ethics! They provide a service that some people are taking advantage of. I just live with the satisfied knowledge that it will catch up with them and bite them in the arse and me and everone else who is paying for the correct service will be sitting here laughing.

I will say this in their defense, t-mobile know what phone they are using at any given time on the network and if its a smartphone they do have the option of making the $19.99 plan mandatory but they haven't done that, Yet! I imagine they will soon though as long as these thieves keep doing what they are doing! And then all the people that use the $5.99 plan for its intended purpose (wap, ringtone purchases, tzones etc) get hosed because of a few cheap thieving children.

Posted by: peestandingup

Why don't T-Mobile just throttle down the T-Zones connection then?? Then, they wouldn't have to worry about people using this on smart phones for massive amounts of data because it would be useless for that. It could be used on ANY phone, just be slow as hell. Only good for occasional email & surfing. The problem is them dictating what phones you can & cant use it on. Internet is internet, so just throttle it down, case closed.

And dont feel too bad for T-Mobile, they are a huge worldwide corporation. MUCH bigger than AT&T or any of the others we have in the US. You guys are talking like they are a mom & pops outfit.

Posted by: lovebeta

Why don't ppl realize that this is TMO's price discrimination tactic? I think they certainly have the ability to fix the hack if they choose to do so. However, truth is, they are still marginally profitable for the $5.99 plan, but they wouldn't mind to earn the extra 14 bucks for the less entrepreneurial and time-limited folks. Case closed.

Posted by: soulja63

Since yall you cry babies have hijacked the thread, I'd like to say the hack actually works for everything except YouTube. Give it a try. I'm loving it...

Posted by: LosAngelesRider

Well i did mines last night. Everything works fine. Even YouTube. Some times i get Connection not AVL, but if i click the video again it will work. Thanks for the hook up! Loving the $5.99 T-Zones. And yes i could sleep at night. Thank you very much...

The odd thing is, back when we had other phones, my gf and I were on the 5.99 plan, then tmo shut down our area so we couldn't access anything. I switched to the 19.99 plan once I got the unlocked iPhone, she never switched because she barely used net anyways.

With this hack now, the internet works again? I mean, it didn't work on our other phones, but it works on the iPhone? Weird. I guess it has something to do with how the proxy is set up...

*edit* Yup, we're going to hell for using the 5.99 plan to check email and browse an occassional site.

Your attitude is pretty crappy. Nobody is attacking anyone here. Just you. I have been using the 5.99 plan since 05 and it has worked and given me access to everything on every phone I have used. On occasion I would be making a call into TMo and the rep would offer me the 20.00 plan. I would decline outright and go as far as to let them know that the 5.99 plan works flawlessly for me. No rep has cared. Same thing for going into a store. I went into a store to buy a TMo Wing and was told I needed the 20.00 plan for it to work. I told him that wasnt true and that thr 5.99 plan worked fine. I even went as far as to show him a few days later and he thought that was cool and to, I quote him, "if it works, it works. Enjoy your Wing"

If I were stealing I would be getting it for FREE. I am still paying 5.99, and yes, it isnt a lot but it isnt FREE. Dont ***** at people becuase you opt to pay 20.00 so you will sleep better at night. Jerk.

And where can I find a proxy.pac

Posted by: evenSong

You don't need one. Just paste
Code:
function FindProxyForURL(url, host) { if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "10.0.0.0", "255.0.0.0")) return "PROXY 216.155.165.50:8080"; else return "DIRECT"; }

Into a text file and rename it proxy.pac.
Politics aside, I'm glad its working for everyone so far. I've been getting 100+ kbit/sec at www.dslreports.com/mspeed. Thats the perfect speed for email, AppTapp and some light browsing. Not really useful for things like YouTube though.

There are worse things to protest than people using the $5.99 plan for web. Go picket your local Wal-mart or mega corporation.

Once you have the text file on your computer what are the next steps to make it work? Is that the only file we will need to make this thing work?? Can you give the rest of the steps that's needed to make it work? Thanks.

I second that. I made the proxy.pac. Now what? The link says to

"...then make the same changes to the preferences.plist file mentioned in the first post. the changes are on line 352 of the preferences.plist file..."

How do I access this file and what program (if any) do I need? Thanks for your help OP!

Posted by: evenSong

Alright, since you guys refuse to read hackint0sh =P.

Copy the following into new blank text file, rename it proxy.pac and save it to: "/private/var/root" (do not hide extensions, or you will have proxy.pac.txt)
Code:
function FindProxyForURL(url, host) { if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "10.0.0.0", "255.0.0.0")) return "PROXY 216.155.165.50:8080"; else return "DIRECT"; }

Then edit preferences.plist at: "/private/var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/"
You should see something like the following. Copy in the red portions exactly where it shows up.
Code:
<key>4C4A0761-28A9-49B6-8CAC-9D4471023607</key> <dict> <key>Interface</key> <dict> <key>DeviceName</key> <string>ip1</string> <key>Hardware</key> <string>com.apple.CommCenter</string> <key>Type</key> <string>com.apple.CommCenter</string> </dict> <key>Proxies</key> <dict> <key>ProxyAutoConfigEnable</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>ProxyAutoConfigURLString</key> <string>file:///private/var/root/proxy.pac</string> </dict> <key>com.apple.CommCenter</key> <dict> <key>AllowNetworkAccess</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>Available</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>Setup</key> <dict> <key>apn</key> <string>wap.voicestream.com</string> <key>password</key> <string></string> <key>username</key> <string></string> </dict> <key>Version</key> <integer>1</integer> </dict> </dict>

Save changes and overwrite the file in your phone (make sure you have a backup). If you edit your network preferences, the setting is lost and you will have to do it again.

it varies from place to place average speed on edge you can get around 150 to 200 kbs and on GPRS you can get about 55 to 75kbs. Goto iphonenetworktest.com from your iphone to find out.

I tried to update on the word in red to the preferences.plist and also the proxy.pac however I can't get it to work. i use ibrickr to copy the file, and I did change the the APN to wap.voicestream.com , I can't even connect to wap like wap.yahoo.com, which i figure it would work without the proxy. Can any pros tell me what I could have done wrong? I see someone psot that they use the whole preference.plist instead of editing into the original one, but I am kinda afriad that will messed up the iphone. Please help.

ps. the error i received is that safari does not receive rsponds from server.

Posted by: evenSong

No, don't use someone else's preference.plist, just edit it in. And also note that in certain areas T-Mobile has disabled the proxy for such use.

Are you the hall monitor I used to beat up in school ? Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Just because you ranted I just downloaded a big file on mine , which is grandfathered in at $2.99 a month on my dash. Since I'm a geezer and don't want to learn how to do it, my younger brother is unlocking my iPhone he got for a few members of the family from his production company for free so it will work on T-Mobile. When he is done I will download some p0rn on that as well in your honor.

Oh me, poor T-Mobile, poor ATT I'm sucking up some bandwidth , the horrors

BornineastLA, i just want to say, i agree with u on the 5.99 plan with tmo,

Posted by: jeffd

I can not get this to work. Do you also have to change the stuff in the preferences file that says cingular to wap.voicestream .com?

Edit to add I have the 2.99 grandfathered plan

Posted by: axc51

Hrm... Mine was working last night using the hack you guys suggested, but today it's not working for me on the $5.99 plan. Any suggestions?

Posted by: ranova

do you need to edit the edge settings to include wap.myvoicestream.com first?

also is it wap.voicestream.com or wap.myvoicestream.com?

wap.voicestream.com doesnt ping at all.

edit: called tmo and they said its wap.voicestream.com
but whats the url for the actual tzones page, i just want to see if mine is working since i just signed up for it

Posted by: viejagloria

wap.myvoicestream.com is the "older" wap site,
help.wap.t-mobile.com is the site used for winwap on the newer htc phones

please let me know if either of these work

Posted by: jeffd

Ok I got mine to work, I have the prefs file stuff in the wrong place. Look carefully at where the code goes in this post:

http://howardforums.com/showpost.ph...50&postcount=44

see the <string>ip1</string> part

just above that is <string>ip2</string> that is where I put mine and it was wrong go further down to <string>ip1</string> and that is where the code goes. They look almost the same and it is easy to make that mistake.

Posted by: peestandingup

Son of a!!! I cant get this to work & I've done everything correctly to the T.

So, how should my phone act if the proxy is just not available in my area?? I wanna make sure its not something I'm doing.

What happens is, whenever im on EDGE & try to access the Weather app, youtube app, etc, it will start to load then the app will just crash & take me back to the home screen.

Anyone else seeing this??

im in CA, i think t-mo has blocked the proxy here. when i load safari i get an error saying 'internal error You do not have access to the site in www.yahoo.com'

Here's the kicker about that. Its best to do a google search for a REAL proxy.pac file & then just edit that instead of creating one from scratch using something like the TextEdit app on Mac. Because even if you save it as a .pac file, its not really. Even though thats the final extension. And yes, I always "show all extensions".

Will winstaller work too??

Have you guys received any overage charges or something? I'd like to use this, how fast is it compared to the 19.99 plan?

NO. I have been using the 5.99 plan with the proxy deal since 2005 and everything has worked just fine. For 1 month (some time in the year 2006) I changed it to the 19.99 plan and didnt notice anything different. Some people claimed that it enabled access to certain sites that the 5.99 couldnt get you to but I found that to be false. I can browse anywhere with the 5.99 plan. However SOME markets, the 5.99 plan is locked out. As of this year I have used it in Los Angeles and Portland with no problems. I love it. I use to stream XM radio all the time. LOVE it.

People are reporting faster connections when using the $19.99 plan. May have to do with the VPN (wap vs internet2) setting. But, for mild surfing & email, its not bad.

anybody try an AIM application with this?

If so.... I'm sold!

how's the proxy working in Atlanta anyone using it there? If its working here ill try of and if its too slow or something I can always upgrade.

Can someone confirm that wiNstaller will work for loading this stuff?

Posted by: jeffd

you don't need to install anything for this, use ibrickr and use the FILES part to download, edit with a text editor, then upload back to the phone.

Posted by: jeffd

Tips to make this work:

Set the APN to wap.voicestream.com in the network --> edge settings, and clear the name and PSWD before downloading the preferences.plist file.

Use ibrickr to download and upload the files. Follow the path:

/private/var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

by clicking on the fake phone links, and click on the preferences.plist to select it for download, on the lower left will be appear a download link and the file will be downloaded in to your ibrickr folder. Upload the new prefs file over this one.

upload your new proxy.pac file to:

/private/var/root

This is new and will not overwrite any file.

Use Editpad lite (google it) to edit and make the files. Select UNIX in the convert menu in editpad

Make sure you paste the code in the preferences.plist in the correct place, under the <string>ip1</string> , NOT the <string>ip2</string>

Do not go back to the EDGE menu again on the phone or it will delete your new code.

Posted by: BornineastLA

Ohh, I thought that wiNstaller was the same as ibrickr...

Does anyone know if this works with IMAP based email?

Holy crap. I've been getting 190kbps using the iphone network test site. Can that be right??

Yes that is what I use and it works fine

Posted by: NetNet

Props to syasses at Hackint0sh! Here are my 2 cents...

Before entering these proxy settings, my Yahoo Mail worked
both with Wifi and EDGE/GPRS (I have $5.99 T-MobileWeb),
but Safari and other apps worked only with Wifi. So I
assumed that I would better leave my Email without
proxying with T-MobileWeb. I found a very useful example
of doing this at Wiki. I also found that T-Mobile gives
my iPhone addresses in 10.186.x.x, 10.187.x.x, 10.188.x.x,
and 10.189.x.x networks. Looking into binary patterns in the
second byte, I found that the best fit for all of them would
be network 10.184.0.0, with a subnet mask 255.248.0.0.
The resultant proxy.pac file, which I use now is:

function FindProxyForURL(url, host) {
// URLs in the imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com domain could be
// accessed directly, since they worked before without a proxy:
if (shExpMatch(url, "*.mail.yahoo.com/*")) {return "DIRECT";}
if (shExpMatch(url, "*login.yahoo.com/*")) {return "DIRECT";}

// The same could work for Gmail (uncomment and change URL):
// if (shExpMatch(url,"Gmail_URL_wildcard")) {return "DIRECT";}

// Other URLs from within T-MobileWeb network are
// to be accessed via port 8080 on 216.155.165.50:
if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "10.184.0.0", "255.248.0.0")) {
return "PROXY 216.155.165.50:8080";
}

// All the requests from non-T-MobileWeb addresses
// could be accessed first via port 8080 on 216.155.165.50
// If it fails to respond, then go directly to the URL:
return "PROXY 216.155.165.50:8080; DIRECT";
}

Now both my email and other applications work fine.
The EDGE/GPRS connection speeds measured by dslreports
are between 73kbit/s and 141 kbit/s for different file sizes.
I don't expect YouTube to work fine at these speeds, but
it certainly works fine with Wifi.

Props to syasses at Hackint0sh, and all others who contributed
to these proxy settings! I've been using T-MobileWeb with
Motorola V635 for several years, now I use it with iPhone!

I can see bookmarked youtube videos but when i try to browse it says "Youtube not available", any ideas?

BTW everything else work fine according to previous NetNet's post, iPhoneNetworkTest showing >130kbps speed

Posted by: ZippoMan

Two problems I've noticed

1. The first time I launch Safari it will usually time out trying to load the webpage, but if I refresh the page will load fine. The error I get when first loading a web page is:

<URL HERE>

Error 502 - Bad Request
The server could not resolve your request for uri: /

2. MobileChat doesn't connect, but I saw a message above that said it won't work.

Does AIM work using the 5.99 plan or not? I hope I dont need to get the 19.99 plan to get AIM....thanks guys

AIM doesn't work for me on the $5.99 plan.

Posted by: No0ne2die4

Everything works for me, except for YouTube, which only work on wifi. Thing is that my speed fluctuate alot depending on where I'm at. Sometime my speed is like 78kbps and other times my highest was 144kbps. I'm using this with my grandfathered t-zone plan of $2.99.

This has been the deciding factor to get the $20 data plan, had I not been able to use the Proxy setting.

Thanks everybody!

Posted by: kpxgq

my speed is acceptable (50-100kbps) but the latency is really bad, avg around 1200-2000ms using the iphone speed test.. is this normal?

Posted by: kpxgq

also some tutorials say to connect to the 216.155.165.50:8080 proxy server and others say to connect to 10.23.8.3:8080 ... is there a difference?

Posted by: dsigma6

OMG BBQ!

I thought this would never work for me but I gave it a try, and voila! I think the instructions tend to make it harder than it really is.

130kbps.

Youtube and email aren't working, but I believe I have to play around with IP numbers to fix that. I don't care, I can access the internet which gets me my mail, and youtube over t-zones is a retarded idea anyway!

Thanks to anyone who gave clear instructions.

Well, the 216 address is pretty standard. I've been using the 216 address on various phones for years. This is the FIRST I've heard of the 10.23.8.3 address.

Hi Guys/Gals,

I've done everything according to the instruction; However, it doesn't want to work!
Everytime I try to go to Stocks, Maps, Weather, it says either "Retrieving Data" or "Updating"!!!!
What the heck do I do wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,

I found this info on another website can someone confirm or not if these setting work or not

Posted by: Jerome Franks

so before i waste anytime on this feature does this work or not..

Posted by: Halcyon98

Ahh. FINALLY got this working.. i added the T-mobile web to the phone plan but the idiots over there mucked up the configuration. after calling tech support to have them reconfigure it, it now works perfectly. i am using the proxy settings that NetNet posted..

function FindProxyForURL(url, host) {
// URLs in the imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com domain could be
// accessed directly, since they worked before without a proxy:
if (shExpMatch(url, "*.mail.yahoo.com/*")) {return "DIRECT";}
if (shExpMatch(url, "*login.yahoo.com/*")) {return "DIRECT";}

// The same could work for Gmail (uncomment and change URL):
// if (shExpMatch(url,"Gmail_URL_wildcard")) {return "DIRECT";}

// Other URLs from within T-MobileWeb network are
// to be accessed via port 8080 on 216.155.165.50:
if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "10.184.0.0", "255.248.0.0")) {
return "PROXY 216.155.165.50:8080";
}

// All the requests from non-T-MobileWeb addresses
// could be accessed first via port 8080 on 216.155.165.50
// If it fails to respond, then go directly to the URL:
return "PROXY 216.155.165.50:8080; DIRECT";
}

it seems kinda slow for me (NYC area) as the iphonenetwork tests have been around 50kbps, whereas the AT&T service was posting in the low to mid 100s. youtube seems to work for some videos and not for others, though i haven't tested extensively.

2 iphones, both unlocked using tmobile sim's

one on te $5.99 plan, the other on the $19.99 plan,
both using, edge, speeds are the same,
stability the same,
no appreciable difference save 14 bucks!

anyone have problems with the tzone planning timing out?

Like if I dont use the net for a while I'll need to stop safari after it trys to load a page and gets nowhere. When I cluck the link again it will go right away then

Posted by: Amiroo79

OK, I understand the WiFi settings for the TMobile internet on the iPhone. But it looks like I also have to copy and paste code into some application. Can someone point me to the step by step instructions on that as I am don't even know where to begin with that? I bought my iPhone unlocked (ver. 1.1.1) and would like to use TMobile. But, I don't have any of the software needed for this. Thanks in advance.

I wish this would work for me, but I have absolutely no luck in getting this to work in NYC. In both Queens & Manhattan.

I guess we're proxy blocked.

LOL, Too make it a bit worse my plan is only 2.99 a month. I have been a T-Mobile subscriber since the very beginning of thier existence. Back when the only internet plan offered was "T-Zones" so I have been grandfathered in so to speak. Every phone I've bought has always worked unlimited internet without any proxy settings or "thieving" etc.. I plan on getting an I-Phone soon and unlocking it and assume it will work the same but it is nice to know there is a workaround if for some reason it does stop working. I feel having been a subscriber for so long that I am entitled to the original prices designated for these services and in the event I have to use a workaround in order to continue to do so I will have no hesitation nor consider it "theivery" because I signed a contract with T-Mobile for these services over ten years ago and have kept up my end of the contract and as well I expect they should keep up their end as well.

The day T-Mobile fails to honor the contract I have signed will be the day I switch providers.

I unlocked my iphone using the jailbreak method and did the AnySIM app to free up the sim. I have version 1.1.1 and have installed WinSCP on my computer. BUT, I can't get into the phone when I try to login. I get an error message telling me I can't connect to it.
I've done everything right so far. I am on one common network on both the iphone and the computer, the phone is set to never auto-lock, I use the correct ip address and login info.... but I can't get in. I've tried this on 2 computers/networks and no luck.
Do I need additional software installed on the iphone to be able to do this? I believe I have everything I need but I can't get in.

Keep waiting, after that message, it takes awhile the first time you connect, maybe 30-60 seconds. Just let it sit there until you get the message about the keys and just press ok.

I will say this in their defense, t-mobile know what phone they are using at any given time on the network and if its a smartphone they do have the option of making the $19.99 plan mandatory but they haven't done that, Yet! I imagine they will soon though as long as these thieves keep doing what they are doing! And then all the people that use the $5.99 plan for its intended purpose (wap, ringtone purchases, tzones etc) get hosed because of a few cheap thieving children.

i actually talked to a tmobile rep about this. obviously they are aware of the problem but it's not really a problem since tzone is very limited with port restrictions. plus they say you will never get back charged since it's an unlimited data plan. lastly, it's not stealing since you are not hacking the service but rather the phone, service is still limited; it just happens that the limited service has 90% compatibility with the iphone.

if you don't like what people are doing then stay out of the conversation. it's a public forum.

you need to make sure tzones has sent you an activation text stating that your service is active. Also edge is not working in all areas and T-mobile is trying to shut down the proxy hack.

How long does it take to get the text for t-zones to be active? also I used pnwage to unlock and add the 1.1.3 T-zones hack and the changed the APN. I am assuming that since I haven't received the text about tzones that is why I am getting the internal error. I read through this whole post and did not see anyone who has used pwnage for the unlock and to put the tzones hack on the phone, is there anything else I need to do?
