gmail on blackjack issue

I set up my gmail account on my blackjack using Outlook. I receive all the email fine, it shows up on both bj and on gmail.com. However when I delete a message on my blackjack, it also deletes it on gmail.com. Why is this happening and how can I stop it?

P.S. I do have gmail set to keep copy in gmail's inbox.

Not sure why it would be doing that then.. that was going to be my suggestion was to make sure you checked to keep a copy in the Inbox. But if you've already did that I'm not sure. When I delete them on my phone they stay in my Gmail Inbox on the computer.

Its very odd. I noticed that the message doesn't totally disappear of gmail.com but is rather moved to gmail.com trash folder. So why is the deletion on blackjack making gmail.com delete it also.
