Phone insurance...?

I have a Samsung D807, and I'm tired of it. It's constantly doing painfully irritating things, like the volume going to vibrate for no reason. And since I cant upgrade till christmas I don't want to wait. What I'm considering doing is "loosing" my phone making a insurance claim, and hopefully getting a different phone. How could I find out if they have my phone in stock for replacement, so I get a different one...?

I'm no saint myself, but owning up to the fact that you will be committing insurance fraud isn't the smartest thing to do! Not saying that it will be likely, but jail time is a possibility if they catch you. Just watchin your back man, FYI...

I understand, but I wouldn't keep my phone. I would "accidentally" drop it off my balcony, and send it in.

EDIT : I feel dumb. The volume to vibrate was caused by a misinstalled game. It was meant for a RAZR...
