hey guys, thinking bout picking up the 8925 from at&t when its released, unlocking it, and using it on tmobile. i'm just wondering if it'll work on tmobiles 3G network once its up and running.. if it doesnt, might not spend that much money for a phone only with edge.. thanks

I have been told that it will not work because TM uses the 1700 and 2100 bands which is different from ATT. I am in the same boat, but I am still getting the TyTN II and I will stay with TM (although no 3g) because of their great customer service and low prices.

Nothing currently in existence (and this is not hyperbole) will work on T-Mobile's planned US 3G network. Completely different frequency than anyone in the world has used to this point, and thus no manufacturer has yet to publicly announce any device supporting 1700 Mhz.

There is no future proof handset you can get for T-Mo US.

I don't think their customer service is that great, 60% of the times I called them for assistance, they either make up stories and don't solve my problem. But I do agree with their low prices. Thats one of the reasons I'm still with them.

It won't work. 1700 and 2100 is correct.
