I just got my new w580i in the mail a few days ago. I got it because everyone mentions the excellent reception this phone gets. I have found this phone to get much worse reception than my Moto KRZR. Does it sound like I have a defective phone and should do a warranty exchange?

It could be your area, but I have yet to have any SE that did not get better reception than a Moto. Now that is from general experience with several different Motos and SEs, but I have to admit I have not tried either of the phone you mentioned.

The W580 is on my list of possible next phones.

my W850i gets great reception along with every other SE phone i've owned.

Hehe, that's what I was thinking. People need to realize what they're typing as SE offers both a W850 and a W580.

I mixed up the numbers in the title and didn't realize it...sorry...I have a w580i. I set up to do an exchange in hopes that my phone is defective and the new one won't be...I really like everything else about the phone.
