How to Unlock Your V3 FOR FREE (Requires Flashing)

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Di@blo

Disclaimer: I take no responsibilty for f*cked up Razrs (V3 ONLY!!! NO VARIANTS!!!). Just because it worked for me doesn't mean it'll work for you. MAKE A FULL BACKUP BEFORE ATTEMPTING!!!

THINGS YOU NEED:
----------------------------

-P2K DRIVERS ALREADY INSTALLED (Tutorial: http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=18372)

- Universal SimLock Remover (Freeware, http://simlock.techgsm.com/simlock/u/)

- RSD Lite (Find it, because I cannot provide links for obvious reasons...)

- Archy BL 8.26 (or lower) to 07.0D Downgrader (SHX in RAR Archive), http://rapidshare.com/files/5574646...chy.V2.rar.html)

STEPS:
-----------------------------

1) Turn off your phone, then hold down the * and # keys while turning it on. You should see the bootloader screen. Make sure your bootloader is either (ONLY) 8.26, 8.23, or 07.0E. If it's one of those, open up RSD Lite and flash the downgraded firmware to your phone. Wait until RSD says "Please Manually Reboot The Phone". Don't reboot while it's still working. (It might reboot itself) YOU CANNOT SKIP THIS STEP IF YOUR BOOTLOADER IS NOT ALREADY 07.0D! If it is, skip this step.

2) When it's done (and it should take a very short amount of time), the phone should reboot on its own (or you should do it manually). Unplug the phone, shut it off, and start it up again while holding * and # . This time, the screen might be off. DO NOT PANIC! It only does this in bootloader mode. The phone is fine!

3) Start up Universal SimLock Remover. Click on "Motorola" --> "Motorola V80, V220, E380, C450, C650 Unlocker". Click "Start" in the bottom right. It should say "RFone Found :P....". In the end, it will tell you if it was succesful. If it says "RFone Not Found", your phone is not in Flash Mode (Reboot with * and # keys held down).

I DID NOT CREATE THIS TUTORIAL FROM SCRATCH! I DO NOT ACCEPT ALL THE CREDIT! (I only typed it up in my own words and provided links and uploads lol)

------------------------------

FAQ:

------------

After unlocking, the power/red button doesn't work.
Take out the battery for 1-2 minutes and then turn back on. Worked for me.

Can I re-upgrade the bootloader afterwards without problems?
Yes, but it is recommended you stay at 07.0D because of no RSA protection and because it's generally easier to mod the phone.

Will re-upgrading the firmware afterwards fix the bootloader screen issue? (The screen is off when in bootloader/flash mode)
Yes, it will fix the problem. This is a 07.0D - only problem (Thanks to Comsic Blue for the answer).

When I put it another provider's SIM card, I get the roaming triangle near the signal bar. Am I roaming? How do I remove it?
No, you are not roaming (unless you're in another country...). Remove it by SEEM editing:
HTML Code:
Seem 0032_0001 Offset 34 bit 3: ( 1 on, 0 off)

yes, putting a higher bl fixes the black screen problem. Black screen is associated with certain 7DO BL.

Yeah, but you can still fix it. It's hard, but possible. Don't worry, nothing bad will happen.

Hi my V3 is
S/W R374_G_0E.42.OER_A

FLEX version: SE8602MXXU1186-2.0.9.3.2.C.0.6W.Z.0.1.0.0.0.2H.6A.6.1.5Z.0
H/W version: SJUG1508AA

I just flashed it from some other version it had and also they did a flex.
Im not a newbie (completely) BUT i added skins, sounds, new start and shut, seem edited some stuff and other little things.

My problem is that my phone doesnt go into the * # flash menu, it turns the keypad on for 1 secs and then turns off.

Also when I added skins I deleted the scarlet and techno skins that it came with BUT they still listed on the phone but not in the skin manager, how can I remove these dead skins out, and also my memory is 8.4MB but the phone lists something diff each time I add a skin or delete one the numbers go down, it reads 4.6MB as of now.

Thanks in advance for whoever can answer all these concerns from me.

hi when i tried to flash the phone it said it failed i installed all the drivers and its in bootloader mode i dont no what wrong please help

Steve

Posted by: Di@blo

ok, well you can save it if it can still go into the BL. Flash a monsterpack.

Posted by: Smuchac

Pleas note: Your monsterpack MUST be compatibile with your bootloader version! Otherwise, you can brick your phone! Then PDS repair and TP is required!

Posted by: mightytrever77

Does anybody knows what's wrong?

My problem is that my phone doesnt go into the * # flash menu, it turns the keypad on for 1 secs and then turns off.

Can it be that I changed my start up and also took out the HELLO moto welcome screen?

Posted by: Di@blo

How exactly did you take out the HELLO MOTO welcome screen? To clarify, you're talking about the one that's in the flash right? And no, delete startup/powerdown sounds/pictures (.gif) will not mess up your phone.

i was just saying that there is a site that you can get it unlocked for free. it took me 4 days to find out about that site and i thought it could be usfull as a tool.

Posted by: Di@blo

Yeah, but if you read closely, the site says: "There is no monster pack or any other flashable or flexable file that will unlock a locked phone, period.". I just disproved the owner. So that section of the site is wrong.

Posted by: tonyeweil

ok , i must have not read it closely, but it worked for me cause i was using XE Mobile now i can use AT&T.. lol

Besides, that program is part of the program I'm telling you to use, only the one I'm telling you to use has support for tons of other phones.
