Hello ladies and gentlemen I have a annoying problem. For almost a year now I've had the E62. In Jan. when the NSS product code hack came available I did it and had no issues. The phone actually started to work better.
About a month ago I got the unlock code and unlocked my phone (I posted about it on a thread in I think the S60 section). Still no problems.
About 2 weeks ago I left my phone in a buddies truck comming home from clinicals. In my mind at the point in time I thought I lost it or it gotten stolen so I called Cingular/ATT and had the old sim deactivated. Now here comes the crazy stuff!
When I got my phone back and went to the ATT Corporate store they gave me a new 3G sim card, activated it, and I was ready to go. AS SOON AS I PUT IT IN THE NOKIA E62 IT ASKED ME IF THE SIM CAN SEND A MESSAGE.... I PRESSED OK..... THEN IT JUST STARTED ACTING HAYWIRE! Everytime I try to call it'll say "Sim Registration Failed". At that point the whole phone is locked up and I will have to take out the battery and start all over! It keeps doing it. I did a master format on the phone and went and got a new SIM. The rep saw the message when I put another NEWLY ACTIVATED sim in the unlocked and unbranded Nokia E62. They saw 1st hand the message asking me for permission for the sim to Send a message. The rep said hit cancel. It went on for a few seconds and the BOOM "Sim Registration failed" and the phone locks up!
I called ATT CS to have updates sent to the phone and the same things happen. After I get like 3 "Sim registration failed" messages the phone starts to act correctly. Before I had a older 3G sim and everything was cool. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
