The blackberry pearl didn't have it either when it first cam out. Acually neither did the razr. Both had it added later. I'm sure apple will add it in a future update

what about zoom in and out?!!!

i dont liek the fact that i cant really send close ups of text because the apple camera makes it blurry.

yea there's definitely a focal distance on the phone, and it doesn't really auto focus too well, things always seem to be in focus at a certain distance no matter how close your subject.

Any MMS message I've received points me to view the message online at www.viewmymessage.com but many can't be seen on the iPhone and have required PC access to view them.

cant you go to the website thru the iphone and look at the msg there? i mean if its a 15 second video u can see it thru the broswer if the phone doesnt let u ?

the baseband chip has support for hardware accelerated mpeg4 compression. I wouldn't be suprised to see video recording support in a sortware update.

Digital zoom sucks but it would be cool if we could finger zoom to crop images before emailing them. As for the focus issues, most cell phone cameras are fixed focus. The vignetting (darker around edges is a common flaw in simple/cheap cameras (which is pretty much any camera in a cellphone).

Movie camera??? You would have to start by making the camera decent first.

My opinion, and thoughts unless you have great lighting...forget it. Fix the basics first, then dream of movies and vids....
