Hi to everyone, i just got my first HTC mobile, and i am really having a hard time using it, the most thing that annoys me are the contacts. i like my s710 a lot but the contacts thing is getting me mad.

I copied all sim card contacts to my contacts list .. so they copied as outlook entries. Yesterday i signed in with windows live messenger, and all Windows live contacts have beeing added to my phone adress book as stated. Now my contact list is a mess because besides the outlook contacts there are the windows live messenger contacts that means Jhon Smith outlook entry and (msn bluehead icon) jhonsmith entry.

So i edited the outlook entry with the email and other data and i deleted the windows live messenger one. But when i do this the last one dissapears from my msn contact list even at my laptop

1) Is there any way hat i just can keep one entry per person and i can surf windows live messenger without Problem?

2) If i create a new contact should i create it as a outlook entry? or as a windows livemssenger entry.

Please i need your help cause this is killing me .

3) Is there another way that i can close internet explorer without pressing the left arrow constantly, i mean i dont want it running on the backround.. just close it instead of going back bacj back.. is there maybe another app i could use as main browser?

4) When using wifi and i connect to a public network.. does the phone automatic dismiss gprs or edge connection and gives priority to wifi? how do i know i am not using edge or gprs instead of wi fi ?

I just got the phone 2 days ago and I have the same annoying phonebook problem which I would like to know the answer to as well.

As for closing internet explorer, go to start > task manager and close it there so it won't run in the background. Opera Mini is a WAY better browser imo.

thanks for the info .. btw which opera have you downloaded i did for the htc 8100 i guess , but its not so clear enough as it was in my w880i
