I use handbrake to convert DVDs. I don't mess with the cropping settings and haven't had a problem. Right now I have Road Trip, The Wizard and Galaxy Quest on the phone at around 700MB each. Quality is great. I was only using one-pass setting, but I'm sure with a two pass it could get down to 500mb or so with a 1.5hr movie and still look nice. |

The only time I had a few pixels of the crazy green on the right hand side was when I messed with the cropping settings. IIRC, there has to be a certain ratio of pixels h/v for the encodes to come out correctly. |
Sorry just getting frusturated with this. I haven't cropped the movie at all and it seems like I only get the green with widescreen movies
