N75 - Persistent, high-pitched ringing sound from earpiece

I just got my N75 today, and while I love the phone overall, I have noticed a steady, persistent high-pitched electronic ringing sound coming from the phones earpiece. This occurs when I answer phone calls, make phone calls, as well as when I flip the phone open and just hold it to my ear. The sound is quite annoying, and sounds like persistent background noise; unfortunately, this high-pitched ringing sound also gives me excruitiating headaches.

Does anyone know anything about this? I have tried restarting the phone, messed with receiver's volume, tried different things to make the sound go away, but it won't. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Yeah, the first one I ever got was like that. I had to return it to Cingular to get a new one. The next one was perfect.
I am now on my 3rd N75. This time i got an unbranded/unlocked one.

Take a tip: learn some cell phone comprehension.

Angel_wing is right...... at&t's unlock code will not unbrand your phone, and unbranding your phone will not unlock it.

Gee, no kidding? I said I was in the process of unbranding my phone. In order to unbrand my phone, you need an unlock code. Which is exactly what I said I was trying to obtain.
