6590i Operator Logo won't change...

I've tried using Logomanager and Oxygen Phone Manager II and neither program will successfully change the operator logo. I have a nokia 6590i Cingular with firmware 40.44. When you hit update phone with new logo, the "Cingular" flashes but won't change. Is it because my newer sim card is blocking the change? Any help would be appreciated.

Also on a side note, if you remove the cingular startup logo, you get to see the cool nokia animated hands logo.

Is your phone unlocked?

In some cases its because your sim card isnt a GD sim card...

I also have a Cingular 6590i... I know that Logomanager v1.2.92 works with the phone. Logomanager v1.2.9 and under DO NOT WORK. (which really sucks 'cause there are lots of cracks for those previous versions).

I have looked for cracks of v1.2.92 with no luck. Is there even a crack for it yet? does anyone know? ...please post!

So far, i've only changed the startup logo (but it says "DEMO" in the upper left corner because i'm using an unregistered version). but , by extension, i'm sure i can change the operator logo as well. i just don't want to change it until there's a crack for v1.2.92 so my phone doesn't have "DEMO" on it all the f*in' time...

you should be able to try it anyway, then if it changes the operator logo, just hit restore to default. Not sure if the demo will let you do it.

My phone is not unlocked and from what I understand that should'nt matter. It never made a difference with my 3395 and I'm using the same sim card.

Looking for cracks sucks, you always end up on some site with a trojan virus and I hate that.

So far I am unsuccessful with changing the operator logo. However if you take the start up logo off then you get to see the cool Nokia Hands Movie at the beginning instead.

What am I missing here?

I am using a 6590i on Rogers AT&T here in Toronto.
I have successfully sent an op logo from nextones.com to my phone. After viewing it, I choose to save it, but still see the ROGERS AT&T logo.

Please tell me I am missing something embarrassingly basic like a "select logo here" setting...

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I sent an op logo to my 6590i using nextones.com (before I got a data cable) and it worked fine.

And both Oxygen and LogoManager seem to work perfectly for me as well. Maybe it is SIM-related? I don't know why I'd be able to change op logos and you wouldn't, though -- I'm on Rogers as well.

I will try again with Oxygen II, as I was unsuccessful the first time.
I've only recently (within two weeks) switched over to the 6590i, could it be something new with Rogers?

Thanks for the quick response. If you were able to switch things around, there is hope. Odds are it is a problem with the interface between the keyboard and chair.

I will let you know how I fair.

How do you remove the operator logo to get the animated handshake startup?

Posted by: jeff6590i

connect via IR or data cable and use logomanager or oxygen II and delete the startup logo. It gets rid of the cingular startup logo that's ugly as crap and replaces it with the factory nokia hand shake video.
