Yes, but a treo is not a Windows Mobile Smartphone, it's a Windows Mobile PocketPC (PDA phone).

PDA Phone is not a Smartphone.

Trust me.. I own a couple of each type, there's a pretty distinct difference. This is the Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone) subforum. If the Treo 700 was going to get WM6, no one here would know, as this isn't the subforum for that phone.. the Windows Mobile Professional (Pocket PC) forum is.

I may not be a seasoned vet at howards forums yet but please save the sarcasm and rudeness. When i think of a smartphone i think of pda style activities.

Dude just because I'm not a moderator doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to tell you that this isn't the right forum for discussion of the Treo 700w. This isn't a 'smartphone' forum even.. it's the Windows Mobile Standard (i.e. formerly Smartphone Edition) subforum. It's the new WM6 lingo, Standard/smartphone = no touch screen, Professional/PocketPC = touch screen.

Right there in my first post I said this is the smartphone forum, sorry I didn't make it more clear that by smartphone I meant Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone). It only went to sarcasm after you felt the need to link me to the palm site explaining what a treo is.. a post that I read ON my treo lol

i did feel the need to post a credibal source to say that the treo is a smartphone, as you cant argue that it is not. I know the terminology with M$ is changing but i felt the tone was unneeded.
