V3m WAP problem... "Cannot resolve hostname"

Hi folks,

I recently flashed to Vivo & it's running wonderfully, cept I have no WAP. Well, I have it, a couple of them, but I can't connect.
I have it in my Verizon plan, but it's limited. Now that I've Vivoed my phone, I'm prompted to subscribe for it. I have *228ed my phone.

I tried to enter other WAPs - the Google example floating about on various sites, as well as the HTF WAP. I have them both, and set them up both several times, exactly according to the instructions, but no dice.
EVDO is turned on. (I don't really know what EVDO is, I forget.)
I used PST to restore my original rtt browser file just to be sure, retried loading the WAPs. I read where in Vivo flashed V3ms may need to have the password & user id manually entered via the rtt browser, but mine were all set.
All I recieve in any WAP address now is "Cannot resolve hostname". I've turned the phone off & on, as I read that once it says that, it will continue to do so until that's done. Didn't help.

I'm sure that it's either a phone setting, or something amiss with one of the restored PST files. My 2742 seems are good, -they're from a helpful forum member with everything working on his phone.

Ideas? I'm a noob- it could be a simple overlooked setting.
Thanks for looking.

Not really a noob-friendly place, huh?
My post's been moved to the "2 replies a post, ya damned noob!" section.

Make sure you delete cache and cookies. It may be trying to go to an old address. I find that when testing new waps if I make it a habit of clearing cache and cookies I get it to work. also try telling it to go to homepage or type in a specific URL sometimes I've gotten past the bad screen after clearing cache AND going to a specific URL either manually or in my bookmarks.

Hope that helps

Possibly a port issue (does VZW use standard port?) or DNS? Just a couple of thoughts.
