Yes. I used mine as a PDA until I got it unlocked.

This is what I'd like to do as well.
I can get it (new in the box with WM6 for $100) but T-Mobile branded.
I was going to use it mainly for Wi-Fi and other PDA stuff and try to get it unlocked to work with my Cingular SIM.

I'm just wary about how i will get it unlocked?
