So after using my p1i for a few weeks, I've started getting a little bored with it. I bought a Nokia 6290 + Luna for a back up/to tide me over for a bit, but theyre nothing special..
Ive realized I dont use all of the features on the p1, but I love how well it multitasks

Anyway, I need some advice on another phone, preferably around the same price range ($500-$600 CAD)

The HTC Tytn II looks hot, but I know it'll cost an arm and a leg.
What I need is:

Good reception + battery
Excellent build
Good multimedia capabilities
(Good multitasking would be a plus)
And of course within the $500-$600 price range.
I also text alot, so comfortable keypads are welcome

Any ideas? Im just not sure what to get anymore

The HP iPAQ 610 is an amazing phone. But what the hell is Assisted GPS?

Posted by: ace587

it prob requires subscription to a carrier, im not sure though, prob AGPS like what they have in japan, carrier provides assistance to the internal GPS instead of a standalone

What are your thoughts on buying a used but very mint black w900i?
$400 CAD

I know theyre hard to come by in "like new" condition these days..

You can probably find a N95 for the price you're asking for...probably on RFD.

its basically where the phone triangulates your position using the known locations of nearby towers. It isn't as precise and won't work without a signal since it doesnt use satellites

Nope, A-GPS is just GPS with information from the towers in addition to the information from the satellites. Quicker TTFF, better accuracy, and it opens up the gate for the carrier to charge you for it.

The N95 also uses A-GPS. I used to think it was a CDMA-specific thing, but apparently it isn't.

i've thought about getting a used average condition w900i, but what makes me think twice is how much it is still similar from the w550i in terms of ui, features. One of the reasons why I havent bought another se after w550i since they all feel similar. But the swivel and rareness keep apealling to me

Well I loved almost everything about the w900 when I first had one.

Its got some heft, good solid battery life, good reception (at least in my area), large screen, AF camera...

If I knew it would be discontinued, I wouldnt have sold my original black w900i..

Anyway, thats why I'm considering buying it again. Since its SO rare to find a mint black w900

well, lets not forget that as of today a loonie is equal to a greenback Might make those outrageous prices a little closer

Posted by: break-r

Even if the dollar is equal, it doesnt change the fact that the price of the Tytn II is $900+ locally

Posted by: jontymisra

Its $749 few places in US.
