Two BJ issues, need help.

Lately my BJ has been resetting itself to the factory settings every time I turn it off and back on. Usually, this happens after I get a white screen (even after refresh) for my Yahoo mail with IE. Ending all tasks doesn't fix the browser issue but restarting the phone does. What's going on here that I'm losing all of my settings, background, etc. afterwards? Also, how do I make a number the default for a contact? Some of my contacts have the txt as the default when scrolling through my contacts even though they originally were set to the # I wanted? Is there an easy fix for this?

My phone is a refurb and I've had it for about 4-5 months. If it needs replaced, will they still replace it for free? Maybe I can score a new (refurb) WM6 BJ out of this.

Thanks for any input.

I believe warranty on refurbs is only 90 days, so no, you cannot get it replaced for free.

actually, refurbs have the same 1 year warranty, so yeah call Warranty Exchange and they'll send you another one, most likely refurbished

I quote form the AT&T site: "One year warranty on new phones & accessories, 90 days on refurbished ".

I couldn't find that quote where did you get that? all i got was this:

Warranty Exchanges

"Wireless devices carry a one-year warranty from date of purchase. To make a warranty claim after the first 30 days from purchase, call 1-800-801-1101 or
go to https://www.wireless.att.com/olam/d...ion.olamexecute and select "Exchange Your Phone". Apple branded equipment is covered by Apple's one-year Limited Warranty; refer to apple.com for details."

I called XBM before and I don't recollect them asking if my device was refurbished, just how long i've had it and what was wrong with it...but that was a couple of months ago
