Will this screw up my unlocked iPHONE if i sync it because i heard i can't do any updates to it

you have to use itunes. Maybe it will mess up your unlocking who knows.

Yes, Itunes. if your just syncing, i dont see how that would mess up your unlocked iphone. Just dont do the updates, until it has been tested.

Right now, iTunes is it. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing. If you've dealt with trying to sync other phones with most computers, you'll know what I mean.

And no, sync with iTunes won't mess up your iPhone. Like wacktool said, just don't install updates to iTunes or the iPhone's firmware until you know it won't break anything (or there's an update that gets around the break).
