Hell i do it too, think i'm paying $40 for $15 internet? Screw that. I actually had a regular phone for the longest and just bought a blackjack from a friend so other than my IMEI being sent to AT&T whenever i make a call, they have no record of it

I have an old V3 Razor and want to buy a Blackjack from a freind as well.
I do not want to change my out-of-contract voice rate plan at all (i love my
$39.99 for 500 anytime min, 5K N&W, M2M).
I just want to take my old 64kb Cingular SIM out of my Razor and put it in the Blackjack, and then add unlimited MEdia with 200 text message for $19.99/month.

Will ATT even know i have a new phone?
Will my old SIM work for voice and 3G data?

sure - actually add MediaMax 200 now and then when you get the Blackjack too just slap it in there and you're good to go.

Dude what are you doing?!

You are on here spouting company line (most of the time) and I know you are completely against this and here you are recommending it.

I'm sure you are fed up but just do what I do, ignore posts like these or give the official answer and not reply again.

Why am I saying it? Because after 30 *pages* of threads, people are going to insist on cheating the system. I'm done fighting it.

ps - if you're wondering why I even posted at all, its because I was actually going to tell him what the proper packages were, but then I got halfway through the post, then I thought of the ****-show that would ensue, and we'd have another pointless 25 pages thread with "pda vs. mediamax" again. And we already have enough of those threads.

Bottom line, if the guy's posting here, he's going to get MM eventually. I'd rather see him just add MM on his own, than to have a rep somewhere sell this guy the proper $40 plan, only to have it churned on him later when the OP decides that he too can get away with MediaMax. Just cutting to the chase.

I know but it makes the argument that "I told you so", when at&t starts cracking down, have that much more meaning.

That's what I'm actually hoping for. I'm going to start advocating for everybody to get on MediaMax, then when ATT body-slams their account with a data block or usage charges, I'll find it quite funny, and the more people we have improperly using MM when it happens will just make it that much more entertaining around here when it happens. I'm done trying to reason with people on this issue, the majority have decided to screw the system, so now I'm in it for the personal entertainment aspect of things.
