(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

From five feet up straight down to the concrete pavement. Landed screen down. This is not getting pretty.. but the screen is still good though!

The specks on the screen are just dusts

Messed up pretty bad along the case top

Damage from the first drop

ive dropped my iPhone at least 5 times. 3 of the times directly on the screen. I have yet to see any scratching or dents. Last time it fell off my tv about 5 and a half feet straight down. So far so good!

You guys seriously need to invest in some cases... .

Its a very slippery device, i cant see myself use it as an everyday phone at all, I am a Letter carrier so i basically use 1 hand to do everything, im afraid i will take it out and bam its over.

I was hiking and mine fell screen down on some ROCKY DIRTY MUD ! I have two or three VERY minor scratches on the screen, they are not even noticable with the display on - still bugs me though. I thought this thing would be toast, but it seem to be very durable!

For those "serial droppers" around here...a suggestion...

http://www.bestskinsever.com/servle...ody-Skin/Detail

...perfect combo: BSE "back" piece for grip and protection. Power Support crystal screen film for screen scratch and damage control.

lol - no doubt. I'll never understand how someone can spend $400 - $600 on such an awesome phone like the iPhone and yet not want to pony up $30 or $40 on a quality case.

oh yes, I know some people will say, "well, I don't want to add any bulk to my pretty iPhone so that's why I don't use a case." ------ now mind you these are the same poor chaps that whine and complain about how pissed they were when their iPhones took a dive.

take myself for example. I have a Seidio hard rubber case and it looks great on my iPhone. the case material is like 1mm thick which means it doesn't add any unsightly bulk at all to my iPhone.

If I didn't carry my iPhone most of the time in a belt-clip case, and carried it in my pocket instead, you can bet that I would be wrapping it in a Seidio or Agent 18 case. But, that skinny little 1mm of extra thickness makes it dang near impossible to get the phone in or out of my belt pouch/case...so I have to go with the BSE for minimalist protection.

But, I agree...no way would I carry such an expensive (and totally slippery) phone naked in my pocket.

Does anyone else here see the irony in regards to the egrips? I just picked up an iskin revo, and am not all that impressed with it so far. Gotta keep looking for the right case. Might have to pony up and get the vaja ivolution.

you think that's bad? lollllll so many drops here this (0 damage to screen) but one of my corners is pretty much dented inward

I know, I bought a Ferrari and then I bought a cover to make it look like every car out there too.

Was thinking the same thing.

Looks like they messed up on the order and sent him the eSlips.

Get a case ASAP. I had 2 close calls when I almost dropped my phone (it is quite "slippery"). I got on of those incases and the rubberized texture is perfect. I hate to see another fall.

No there is no irony.. the one piece of information I did not give was that when I dropped the iPhone I had just walked out of a bar having had 5 beers and was a little tipsy

Actually the sad part is that when it happened I wasn't exactly sober enough to assess the damage and all I knew was that the screen didn't crack and the thing still worked

Really though, the eGrips work pretty well. The first time I dropped it was because I was surfing the web while walking on a busy street and it was knocked five feet out of my hand by some guy's satchel. This time of course I couldn't wait to get it out of my pocket and pluged the headphones in after I left that bar.

Using the iPhone too much is definitely hazardous to the iPhone!!!

Tell me about it. I almost walked into a parking meter the other day while window shopping with my wife and daughter the other day. Lol. My wife opened her mouth about a foot from impact. I too was surfing on Safari.

Same thing happened to me, I ended up ordering a new back case and replacing it. Replacing it was a pain, but it looks great now, totally back to new with no issues.
