Just restore the firmwear and keep the sim in the phone. Tell them you have not activated yet. They will take the sim out and put it in the new phone. Show them the negitive world on the power off screen if they want to see the issue.

However i did use independence to bypass the activation so i could at least use their wifi to show them a picture in order to demonstrate the issue. He asked me once why i had no service and i said i had att to try it out but deactivated it, and ill be reactivating again when my current contract was up. They didnt ask me about it again. He breifly made reference to it though when the "good" genius said he was going to swap it out for me saying "oh by the way its not activated" and the other genius said he didnt care and swapped it out for me. But if your gonna go to apple definetly restore it or make sure there are no 3rd party apps and the att sim is in the tray

Maybe it's like a model # and not like a serial#. I don't have a negative black issue but my wife's phone does. Im going to check her lcd panel ID # when she gets home. |
