I need to get an upgrade soon, and would something with a good camera and / or wifi. I have narrowed it down to few phones, only thing is that is requirement really is not any phones that will be out on the carriers in Canada. Also will be on Fido network. Price is not an issue. Another issue is that some of the phones I want are not out yet. So question is, get the ones that are out now or wait until the newer ones are out. I have also used W850i, K550i and 6300 in the past months to compare to.

Sony Ericsson P1i, Nokia E65, Motorola Q8 (gsm Q)

Nokia 6500 Slide, E51, Sony Ericsson W960i

Rule out P1 coz it aint quad-band. I've used the E65 and was thoroughly impressed with it, but ran into some memory issues. 6500 Slide looks very impressive as well. However, E65 IMHO is the most productive out of those Nokias you listed. W960i, again not quad-band, so you gota see if your area has descent reception and is not dependent on 850mhz.

ok, some of my phones 6300 and w850i werent quadband, and i found them to be better than previous models i had, k550i and w810i. so 1900mhz only aint an issue. also how do you like you E90? is it worth the $1000?

I too would go for the 6500 Slide.

You are gonna be hard pressed to find a mobile with the same specs. & build as the 6500 Slide.

It really raises the bar when it comes to build quality. I mean, how can a phone made entirely out of metal, with a CZ 3.2 MP camera, 2.2 in. 16 million TFT res. screen & have 3G w/video calling, not be a winner? Although the addition of WiFi woulda been great, but not a deal breaker.

And it's a Slider with smaller dimensions making it more pocket-friendly.

I have been waiting for a mobile of this caliber for as long as I have had cell phones.

TBO....I am quite thrilled that the OS is S40 & not S60. I have my N75 & just don't take advantage of all the apps that are included in S60 phones.

I am guessing that the SE will be more pricey even though you said money wasn't an issue....it's always nice to not spend more than you have to.

My E90 is fully worth every penny I put into it. The GPS chip is the same on N95, but the 800x352 4inch screen is just gorgeous. It's a bit on the bulky side, but I like the screen real estate and the full keyboard on it. It's got every feature I'd ever want in a phone and the 3.2mp cam with AF/flash is pretty descent as well. So IMHO E90 is the cream of the crop for me and my uses.

thank you very much for your responses, i think what i might do is wait for the 6500 slide to come then decide, i have read on carriers from europe that 6500slide will be coming out by october. It aint that far off, i think i could wait 2 or 3 weeks.
