I don't know if anyone has seen the guy on Ebay selling the "Elite" Motorola V3xx, but he boasts that he has been able to unlock the phone's full signal ability to give you a better signal strength no matter where you are. If you havent seen it here is the link. Does anyone know if that actually works or if he is just full of ****? And if it does work is there a way to do it to the Razr2 V9? I live in an area with spotty signal and if this will boost it I would like to give it a shot.

Sounds like total bs to me. Besides... look at the picture. there are two different dates on the cell phones. WTF. Dont believe it

Thats why I didn't buy one, but I was wondering more if there was a legit way to do this. Boosting the signal output or something like that.....

It is just a seem edit for full rate. It can be done to the V9.

I dunn know if this is the same guy... but someone at eBay always sell this ELITE edition and it just a modded phone, which u can do yourself.

Yeah, that is the guy I am talking about. Djdownhill answered my question as to whether it really was possible to do or just another Ebay scam.

Djdownhill, I followed the instructions in the post you directed me to. Everything was working fine until I got to the part where I need to download the file. Once I tell it what seem to edit I get this message:

USB: IO Time-out!
CMD: Data write fail!
Done.

Any idea's?

This looks like a great mod for those who make calls in poor cell signal areas or in buildings that cause a lot of interference. Any idea on how it will effect battery power/talk time?

Well, since your boosting the signal strength I would assume that it will drain the battery faster. Once I get my USB issue resolved I will let you know how much more battery is used.
