i currently have 7.4.2.4 will i be able to unlock my phone with this?i thought i heard in a tutorial somewhere not to use anything newer than 7.3? not sure how outdated that was,though..if i need to uninstall itunes and install another version i can do that,i just wanted to know if this version would work if i do the ibrickr/anysim unlock..i've been reading a bunch of tutorials lately and i'm trying not to get confused,i just want to know what i need if i'm doing it fresh out of the box.thanks!

You don't even need iTunes to unlock, as long as iBrickr has the iTunesMobileDevice.dll packaged with it. (Mine came with 7.3.85.0.)
I unlocked my phone without iTunes at all, and only installed it when I decided it was time to start transferring some music and videos.

i forgot to mention this..i'm planning on buying a used iphone that's currently activated with AT&T but i'm not taking over his contract..should i still use ibrickr or apptap or the installer or..?since it's currently active i shouldnt need to do anything to be able to get to the springboard, but once i'm there i'm not sure which direction to go.i've read tutorials and undestand most of the methods,i just dont know which one applies to where i'm at.thanks!
