iPhone caller ID or 2 others?

Hi, Sorry if this has been discussed I ran a search about 200x over at google and here, but couldn't find a thing..

Here is my problem, Sometimes when people call, the caller ID on my iphone says "JOHN or 2 Others"

What the heck is that supposed to mean? Yes, Ive checked if I have the persons name stored twice, but I don't.. Help?

Please don't flame me if this has been posted like I said I already ran a search.

Do you have the same number stored under a different name?

It does this when you have multiple contacts with the same number. Perhaps 3 people with the same home line, or work line. It can be somewhat useful if you only have 2 people with the same line, as it says Bob or Charlie. 2 or more people can be frustrating. It also messes up the recent calls list. I usually make a company contact for home numbers that people share.
