I got a BB curve for my wife and now I`m thinking well maybe I should put GPS on it. After searching for few hours online (didnt look thru HF yet) I want to know if there is a simular solution as with PPC and BT GPS. Like lets say TT and BT GPS. I dont want telenav and I dont want wayfinder. I want a one time fee and something that I can just put on the card for her and forget about it. She will not have data on the phone or really use it as a rael BB just for texting and whatever else. So I know which BT GPS I will get, but I cant find the software it self. Any suggestions ?

just so you know, blackberry maps and google maps for blackberry uses data. you will need a data plan if you want to hook up a bluetooth GPS puck and a blackberry for GPS navigation.

BBMaps and Google Maps do not give you turn by turn or voice directions. There are printed directions, similar to what you get online with MapQuest. If you want/need true turn by turn and vocie commands, then you need to use TelNav or get a real GPS device.

There is an easier way that I found out to get BB Maps working on the phone, I did not do the changes to OS yet, so I decided to try going to http://maps.blackberry.com on the curve. I downloaded and installed it, working perfectly, I am going to uninstall Telenav maps now. Just cannot update via pc and usb for installing bb maps because it will detect at&t firmware and say cannot install..
