E815 Call Quality

I just bought a used Motorola E815 to replace my VX8100 and I am having trouble hearing the people I am talking to on the phone. I'm not sure if i just got a bad phone or if there is a problem with all the phones. I also hear my echo when I talk. Is that normal?

you got a bad phone. the e815 is regarded as one of of the best out there in terms of reception and call quality.

What did you pay for your used 815? I just switched from Verizon to AT&T and have one. Just wondering.
