Ok, so I just got my Pearl and I love it. I am having a few problems with g-mail though, like many. I have searched and searched with no result. My two problems are this:

1) Messages remain new on gmail.com even after my BlackBerry has retrieved them. I have tried all the POP settings in g-mail with no luck.
2) I have created spam filters in g-mail with like 200 spam keywords for subject and content. They work great in g-mail by labeling all the "customized spam" (spam gmail doesn't catch) and by archiving it. Then daily I will check "All Mail" to see if anything important came through. The only problem is that they still go to my phone. The filters available on AT&T don't have big enough text areas for me to load those kind of filters to prevent the spam from going to my Pearl.

Does anyone have any advice on these two issues?
