I just got my GD-88

I love it and I actually didn't like it before, but I now that I have it on my hands, it seems to be the phone im keeping in conjuction with the Siemens S55.

Well I am lost ... there are a lot of posts, but I am still lost ... I would apreciate if someone can help me! I want to put european/english language instead of the chinese/english only that came with the phone. How do I do this?

I don't have a data cable yet, so I guess I am out of luck!? Where did everyone get their data cables from? how much? OEM panasonic?

Any help will be greatly apreciated. I know a lof about the S55, so if anyone needs help with the S55 including how to add languages to it, please let me know.

Also I went to the applications menu and I see data receive ... I can also send data using the infrared right? I hope so!

After reading a lot!

Is there a portuguese language pack for the GD-88/87 at all? I need portuguese/english ... would be very nice! I am in the process of getting a data cable.

You guys recommend any store/website? OEM panasonic cable?

I can supply anyone with a a USB/Serial data cable for £20 + P&P. I don't think there are OEM ones?!? USB and Seiral data cables both seem to do the same things... Thanks

Well I'v been reading reading and reading ...

What I really need is not a firmware upgrade, but a language pack that has portuguese.

I found a data cable on ebay for 30$ US$ (free shipping) so if you can match or come equal to that, I won't have a problem buying it from you. And yes there is an OEM cable? I found it on ebay, but maybe its not OEM ... who knows ... as long as it works

That is cheap. I don't think the ones on ebay are worth the $$$

All they have is that cheap software that can be found online.

I will look up those stores!

Anyone else has input on where to get the cable? I am in orlando, FL ... just wondering how long shipping would take from europe ... i'll probably be better just getting one locally if the price is right ... if not I migh as well wait !
