about to get another iphone for brother- want to unlock

currently the steps to unlock say to update to FW1.02...now, hwo do i get itunes to restore/update the phone to FW1.02? vs. going all the way to 1.1.1?

most places are probably still selling the 1.02....i think itll be a few weeks before u see the 1.1.1 in stores

This is the third or fourth time I'm posting this

People are reporting buying phones with 1.1.1 on them already from brick and mortar Apple stores. Several were seen in the LA area as well as other parts of the country

I would not be surprised if the Apple stores were flashing their inventory on the shelves. Cellophane is cheap and easy to replace

I will keep my iphone 8G mint(new) condition ver# 1.02 get a new iphone for less $100.00 and buy a new one.

It is not likely that they are opening iphones and reflashing them instore.

Sure cellophane is cheap but the equipment used to wrap the boxes is not.

It is more likely that they had new product shipped to the stores. A lot easier and cost effective than paying employees to open phones up, flash them, rebox them and then rewrap the boxes..

The AT&T retail store I work at had a large quantity shipped a week before the firmware upgrade and they are all old firmware. PM me if you want me to ship you one, we still have a ton left.
