I found 1 tiny dead pixel on my iphone that i bought from 3rd party cellphone store that has no return policy less than a week ago. I've contacted Apple (Pasadena) & they suggested me to make appointment with Genius Bar & i did. Here's the question, Will Apple store fix my dead pixel or replace the phone for me even when my iphone is bought from 3rd party store?

Is your phone unlocked? If yes, and the Genius bar catches it (which they probably will), you won't get any help from them. Sorry to be blunt, but be prepared for it. In that case, you might try contacting the 3rd party store you bought it from and politely ask if they would be able to help you out.

I hear you need more than one dead pixel. Can you use the psp video that changes colors really fast to "revive" the dead pixel?

I doubt they will do anything. They will probably say "this is acceptable" . I have the misaligned battery cover that creaks and I have tried 3 times both with the same comment. Its acceptable hardware. I brought up if your hood was misalligned would that be acceptable . Maybe the first week or so of the launch but now they are tough on stuff like that. Good luck anyway since you never know.

I just got my 2nd iPhone and it has 3 dead pixl's in green. Im having terrible luck with iPhone. Let us know what happens dude and good luck.

Thanks for the headsup but i'm using it with AT&T so i don't have to worry about the problem. I just hope that they can fix it or replace it for me.

That sucks coz all my other 4 co-workers' iphone have no dead pixel at all. My iphone's dead pixel is right at where the weather icon is so you can't really see it unless the screen is completely black.
