so im going to the apple store tomorrow to....

exchange my phone hopefully!

ever since the update my phone has been freezing like crazy. at the lock screen and the home screen when i touch the sms button. it just freezes and doesnt do anything for like 15secs, which i stated in another thread.

But my question is, lets say they have to do an exchange because it cant be fixed, which i hope happens! what are they gonna do if there is no 4Gig models in stock? Which im pretty sure there isnt. I cant be without a phone, you know?

yeah but i dont wanna pay $100 just to upgrade to the 8gig, i dont need the 8 gig... so i dont understand how this would work. lol

They'd either charge you $29 for a loaner phone (or give it to you free, if they're in a good mood) while they mail your phone off to AppleCare.

AppleCare will either try to fix your phone and either return your phone fixed, or mail you a refurb phone.

Since I updated I have noticed the same problem. so they might not exchange it. I had to exchange my 4gig due to asim problem and they did upgrade mine to an 8 gig

yea. The guy took my phone to the back and brought it back a minute later and said they are going to do an exchange. I didnt have to pay a difference or anything. I went in after work so i didnt have the box or receipt so they kept the 8 gig box and sent it back with the 4 gig phone in it. they asked if i had a mac and i said no, so they activated the 8 gig for me there at the store.

wow, well i have an appointment for tomorrow at the apple store, so will see what happens. Its running good now, but it doesn't last long. So will see...

They give you a 8gb version no extra charge. Another HoFo'er went through this.
