No Carrier Signal - X800

Grrr... Earlier this summer, I noticed my batteries were dying a lot faster than usual. As well, the phone's reception was becoming extremely erratic. I would lose signal for no reason at all. If I left the phone alone on a table for a while, it would regain a signal. If I pick it up, it promptly loses the signal.
Thinking I might have buggered up the phone with software, I performed a hard reset. No luck.
I ordered and just received replacement batteries expecting fresh batteries to resolve the spotty reception problem. No luck.
I have replaced the antenna assembly and cleaned contacts. No luck.
Any other suggestions or advice?
Is there anyone in Canada that actually services Panasonic or someone that can reflash another X800 I locked up software wise?
