I have a w580i and when i plug it in to my comp with the usb cord, it says its installed and ready to use, but when i go to my computer and try to open the removable hardware...to put songs and pictures in the phone it says please insert disk into drive.. what should i do... is there another way to add songs and photos besides using a memory card??? (i dont have one)

I gave up on the usb cord thing and bought a bluetooth usb adapter, works much better and easier.

I have a w580i too. The USB connection to the phone works ok for me. I can load mp3/videos/themes and make ringtone and video ringtones for my phone fine. Did you install the CD software into the computer that came with the phone? Which provider are you on?
