Blackberry 8820 email setup problem

When going through Blackberry setup, the option "I want to create or add an email address" does not appear. I turned the device off and removed the battery for 30 seconds or so and tried again. It still does not appear.

I went to the website att.com/blackberrystart as suggested in the owner's manual. When I entered the PIN and IMEI numbers, I received a message that the device was registered with another provider and that I needed to re-register the device.

Has anyone else seen this? How do I re-register the device? Call Blackberry or AT&T or can I fix this myself.
