hey.

so i am in London for the fall and am using a pay as you go from Orange. However, I have my blackberry pearl with me here too (Cingular). I took off the data plan and only have the lowest amount of minutes and a cheap international calling rates thing.

So my question is can i still use BBM even though I don't have a data plan? will it cost any money? Thanks.

By BBM I assume you mean blackberry messenger? If so, you'll need a blackberry data plan for that--there's no way around that as it works through PIN messaging, which is only enabled with a blackberry data plan. Not sure if a Cingular/ATT blackberry data plan allows for roaming or not though, or if it will cost more in the end.

ATT has an international BB data plan, but it is about $60 or $70/month.
