Software for the unlock serial data cable

I've just upgrade to a39_SPY succesfully!! thanks to all 
tetris rulesss!! well, i have a little doubt:
I've the serial data cable that been made for unlocking. Is there any software to upload/download ringtones, images, etc. with this cable, or I have to buy a usb one or serial "normal" one? I've tried with Handset manager and Data suite and have no success. Any idea? Lots of thanks in advanced.
