i couldn't really decide where to put this thread, so if it's in the wrong forum, please tell me.
i have a motorola razr on alltel as a second line. the contract expires in may '08, and it costs $175 to cancel early. i have an iphone on gopohne, and i want to use that as my primary phone, so my question is, how can i disable the motorola phone from making calls and be able to b activated on someone else's plan without canceling the contract? i want to sell it, and i need to find a way to do that. and please dont tell me to wait until my contract expires, because i kinda owe people money and the only thing to sell is that phone. thanks!

Even if you don't use the razr to make calls, you will still be charged for service, your bill will just show 0 minutes used. You can't activate the razr on another network, or account, while it is already activated, as the ESN is already in the system as being used. The only way to get the razr off of the account without canceling your contract is to find a cheap phone that you can activate in it's place, then you will have that cheap phone on alltel (which you will still be paying for, for the duration of your contract) and you will then be free to do what you wish with the razr.
